I, too, have gained weight while using Elavil. About 20 pounds in 6 months! I was trying to find information on the drug side effects and came across this information. I also crave sweets (and I never did before). I began taking Elavil as a sleeping agent and mild anti-depressant. Wild circle I've come around in, like weight gain doesn't depress me!
