I am taking elavil for depression with anxiety. It has done wonders for me, except I have periodic weakness in my upper extremities. It was more pronounced in the beginning, but after seven weeks of treatment, I am still experiencing this weakness. Sometimes I awake with it, and other times I experience it after holding my 15 month old baby or any object over about 10 lbs. My arms feel a bit shakey and weak...like anyone would have after carrying something fairly heavy for a good period of time....Please let me know if you can help me calm my fears. I am hoping that this will pass once I get off the elavil in about six month....
